Supporting & Protecting Adults across the Acts - (for PKC Social Workers)
Within a framework of supporting legislation, the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000, the Mental Health (Care & Treatment)(Scotland)Act 2003 and the Adult Support & Protection (Scotland) Act 2007, have distinct functions but also work together in supporting and protecting adults with mental disorder and those who are at risk of harm.
With a foundation of understanding Human Rights and working with examples from practice, this whole day course will help practitioners to understand the unique functions of each Act but also help to make sense of the areas where they overlap and complement each other in the process of applying the law to practice.
