 Manual Handling Training Programme

We are excited to welcome you to our Manual Handling learning programmes.  Our Manual Handling Programme runs throughout the year, offering regular dates for everyone to attend.  The training focuses on practical skills, safe techniques, and confidence in everyday manual handling tasks, helping to keep you safe and protect the people you support. These courses if you’re a beginner or have attended before are opportunities to refresh skills and stay up to date with best practice.

Manual Handling Two Day Induction Training

Welcome to our new Manual Handling Induction training programme, which includes our fantastic Easy Manual Handling website to support our blended learning model.

The Induction course is for anyone who has not undertaken manual handling before or in more than two years and wish to keep themselves and others safe that they support.  Everyone attending will be asked to visit our www.easymanualhandling.com website prior to attending face-to-face session.  We ask that you look at current legislation and watching our videos on chair moves, wheelchairs, assisted walking and equipment.  You will then attend a face-to-face session which will be split into two days, running from 09:30 –13:30 each day.

All aspects of manual handling will be covered and everyone who attends will be encouraged to get involved through a range of conversations, demonstrations on safe and efficient techniques and manoeuvres. We will have practical sessions on how to use current equipment such as wheelchairs, hoists, stand aids, slings, glide sheets and lots more. We hope the course will encourage everyone to think and promote safer ways of working while looking after their own health and those of others either in work, life or the community.
