Welcome to the Ambassador information page

If you have clicked onto this it might be because you are interested in the role of a What Matters To You? (WMTY)

ambassador in Perth and Kinross.

Thank you so much for your interest. As we have said on our ‘Welcome page’, we are excited to be working in partnership with the Alliance Scotland in this work and delighted that Tommy Whitelaw is able to work with us over the coming year to enable our WMTY approach to flourish here in P&K.

We believe that working together across P&K with people who work in and access care and support, is the best way to enable us all to live lives that matter to us. So, in this work, we aim to create the space for people to join us on this journey to create a person-centred culture where we all feel valued, supported and cared for with compassion, kindness & civility.

To do this needs all of us.

To help the development of this movement, we would like to offer the opportunity to become a WMTY P&K Ambassador.
If you are the kind of person who:
  • Believes in a P&K where people are cared for & supported in a way that matters to them.
  • Wants to make a difference to this work.
  • Believes that you can influence.
  • Believes you can share, inspire, and motivate people around you with the WMTY message.
  • Believes you demonstrate the WMTY message.
  • Would love to work with a group of humans who believe in all those things too and are committed to bringing this work to life here in P&K.

If this sounds like something you would like to get involved in, please get in touch (email TBC)

We will support you in role as an Ambassador by:
  • Offering a bi-monthly support network – and co-design your support needs and wants with you as a group.
  • Connecting you with peer support and project support.
  • Enabling you with resources to support events/conversations.
  • Support from Learning & Development/Educator/Facilitators for supporting locality WMTY work.
Ambassador Role
  • An advocate for person centred care and support.
  • An influencer, motivator, and demonstrator of a WMTY approach.
  • Sharing the WMTY message within your area of influence.
  • Connect with other ambassadors.
  • Attend and contribute to bi-monthly Ambassador catch-ups.
  • Support Service Managers and Learning & Development colleagues with the design, development & facilitation of WMTY sessions across localities.
  • Working with the wider project team to feedback, shape and influence outputs and outcomes of our WMTY journey.
